...Pwt, Pewt, Poot, or plainWHITEtom...
« on: September 19, 2008, 05:34:48 PM »

So i've been stalking around this site for a couple months now.  Never understood what the journey was about, I get it now and I'll start up my own journal.

I titled it "the Lost One" because up until a couple months ago I had these liquid skills and no idea what to do with them.

I got into liquid about 8 years ago, I'd like to say 8 give or take one year.  It started at school, I'd see kids in my photo class doing what you guys call "handflow".  It was really basic but just totally tripped me out (way before I met alice).  I remember thinking I wanna learn that...

Flash to my first rave "Tetsuo2" the line was out the door around the fucking block all the way to umomz house.  Me, being the novice that I was took a pill as I came into the line.  So after about 1/2 n hour of standing in line I start to feel real real HAPPY and for some reason can begin to feel the bass coming through the wall....

Let's flash back; all through out my life I've been dancing, since as far back as I can remember.  I had some classical training at a young age and even before then I loved tearing up dance floors as a little dude.

...This eruption in my guy took over my legs and I just begin pushing up to the front of the line.  Leaving my two friends (jon & Brian(sorry)) and getting into the party as fast as my feets would take me.

It was about n hour or so later my buddies made it into the party and found me soaked HEAD TO TOE.  As it was told to me i said something like.
"This is FUCKING GREAT!"
and then took them all over the party showing them everything I'd seen only to leave them again to dance until the lights finally came on.

That next monday at school i had some finger wiggling of my own to do in photo class.  Sadly once the Rave scene here in Chicago got torn apart I knew not what to do with my talents.  I was looked at as weird for doing it and didn't appreciate the drug references that were attached to it (thanx mom).  I was weak and gave in to give up but thought it was O.k. because I found funk styles.

Seemed like liquid and waving went hand n hand so I again began to Dance..........

Just to take a breath, I will always dance, because I have always danced.

About a year ago I met a very unique character, one of the meanest pirates on these here seas.  He showed me that not only did it not die off like everyone said but there was much more to be done.  Logs to a smoldering flame...still nothing...I continued to pop, lock, house, rock, crump, everything but liquid.

Slowly but surely I started making my way around these new "raves".  I HATED THEM (still kinda do)...however i noticed that after everyone I was doing more n more liquid.  Sooner or later I was given this URL and began to get in touch with my old friend liquid and I've been a very happy dancer ever since.  Some of you may have seen me at the caves...for me, That was truly my soul n life coming full circle.

I will always be lost, because much like dancing that's where I've always been.  However as far as liquid goes, I am found once again and can't wait to start meeting the lot of you in person.  This is such a beautiful, free, amazing dance, and it makes so many peeps happy just to watch us do it.  My quest, my journey, is to give it to as many as possible :)

in case your feeling average :)

:) i just recently had that as a sig on one of my forum accounts, great track

ive got some thoughts about ur clip too if u dont mind sir!

-musicality was off the fucking chizzaiinnn sunn, u and kai are definitely my fav in this respect. that song is in bad shape after u got done with it and i'm not sure if it'll ever have feeling in its legs again.

-lots of cool 'ooooh' moments, but if i had to pick one it'd be 2:14 that was jus sick to me

-nice splits, but imo you still look like a popper doin liquid. i think a couple things that ur missing to make ur flow more umm flowy? is rails and hand relationship. ur elbow placement on the rails u did in this clip were a bit crooked so the line wasnt as defined. and kinda the same thing with ur handflow, ur hands were really close together preventing moving-space and angels to be seen, i guess what i'm tryin to say is i'd like to see more mime/fixed-point influence in ur dance. if that makes sense, outstanding!

overall that was a fun ass clip to watch tho, which i did 5 times in a row when kai first sent it to me. keep doin ya thing man :)

This is about three years old...Not really good quality but I wanted to throw something older up.  To show the progress and give everyone something to laugh at.  :)  If i can find anything from when I first got a video camera 5 years back I'll throw it up.  Let the heckling begin.

October has been a crazy month.  I dug this clip the most out of everything I've shot so far.  Thanks for all the positive feedback and things to keep in mind every time before I dance.  Keep em coming :)
