Well Ive been meaning to write this but haven't gotten the chance to. Well anyway, here it goes.......
Ive been into the whole edm culture for about 4 years now. Ive been into dancing for about five. I think it was around fifth grade that I started my journey into dance as a bboy. I thought that it was the coolest thing and I still do it to this day. Back then I took a bboying class down at a local dance studio. During one of these classes I was asking the teacher about diffrent styles and one of the things he brought up was liquid. I think he did a few box rails and I thought it was really cool but at the time I had no desire to learn it.
Okay, so fast forward a year. I think it was around 2004 that I got into electronic music. I really wanted to get into it after I heard that one track by man Parrish in the Shaun of the dead movie. So after I got into the music I discovered that there was a wholed culture that went along with it. I think the culture really started to intrest me after I saw a special on vh1 about the rave culture. So after a few months of scouring the web for any info I could on the edm/dance culture I started reading about the dances that went along with it.
So after more searching on the net I stumbled upon youtube around 2005 trough a site called houseofrave(back when it first came to be) on this sight i found videos of all these amazing dancers(glowstickers, liquid dancers) and the clip of lperic amazed me. After I saw that I was determined to learn liquid.
Soon after that I was scouring the internet trying to find a place to learn from but there was nothing. I kept desperately trying to find the lpc video but i never had any luck. I believe it was around September of 2005 I found tiny loves liquid basics DVD which set me off in the right direction. After that I started practicing like crazy and started picking up other styles such as digits popping, locking, botting etc. And after picking up digits, I finally realeased this very crappy clip,
prior to this, I had discovered floasis which has helped me immensely in my journey through dance. I still have much to learn.
