i'd say it's much more influenced by Rube Goldberg contraptions that robots.  i dont necessarily think adding dimestops to a dance implies a robotic nature.

I agree, If you were to watch someone punch a brick wall using a thermal imaging camera you would see a non-robotic dimestop.

I loved the clip, I think If the Ewoks ever started dancin' with storm troopers it would look like that.

rewinds... huh?  interesting concept..  your builds are getting wild.  you change dimensions frequently creating a trippy illusion.  Would be interested to see what happens if you were to link more of your pieces to compliment eachother, assembling a larger picture.

wait til the next (non spring cleaning) clip.  or when we dance at resonate.  i have a lot more going on with builds (from 8-12 steps of complexity) than i show in this clip.  i didnt wanna go that far in this clip because i can't rewind that many steps (yet).

Second Submission:

i think i was able to acheive more complexity with builds/rewinds, but it def. wasnt as clean as the first one.  fail. :-/

HAHA LOSER

I didn't actually notice a stark contrast in cleanliness, but this work monitor sucks and the clip looks really dark. I did notice that you were much more dynamic in the 2nd one. There was more overall body movement, and I think that made it a lot more interesting. I definitely prefer the second clip to the first on all accounts, anyways.

Awesome clip, great job!

So far:

-Kai is a machine

Yeah I didn't notice a downgrade in cleanliness at all either. That was nice to watch. You can make it on the sequel to Detours an experimental dance collaboration now. And I have to say that over the past year you have really stepped your game up. The contrast between these clips and your earlier clips like the Aquarius one from a few years back is startling. You should be proud.

duno wha u 2 are smokin, or maybe its me, but i did notice the clip being less clean, not so much in the angles but in the stops and starts. compared to the last clip they were kinda meh and makes most of the clip look rushed. its because of this, that i started noticing ur legs and feet were pretty planted for most of the clip too, in ur 1st one this didnt even occur to me cause you had my undivided attention with ur upper body lol. speaking of which, your digits also had less of a presence in this clip which is unfortunate cause that was one of my fav parts of ur 1st clip.

as joon said tho you did do more diverse and complex stuff in this clip, and that trampoline thinger of urs is developing slowly but surely ;). the clip got more clean as time went on but i believe u may have bit off more than u could currently chew(atleast for that particular day, u in stl smashes this shit).

Hmm, I'll have to take a look on a better monitor when I get home. Half the clip for me on this work monitor is just shadow.
