WAYLIT Country Music Edition
« on: December 07, 2010, 11:15:18 PM »

Ahhh nothing brings out the vitriol more than country music. You'll often get this line from people:

"I listen to everything but... country"

Anyways I know some of you secretly go out to country bars (especially if you live in the south) so let's share some tunes and broaden some horizons while we're at it.

One of my all time favorites right here:
George Strait - Amarillo By Morning

Tracy Byrd ~ Watermelon crawl

Alan Jackson - Chattahoochee

Alt country is cool too

alt country/americana is my bread and butter, moreso than most genres. huge whiskeytown/ryan adams/cardinals fan, older wilco, neko case, old 97s, richmond fontaine, etc. regular country is cool too, but i'm not that familiar with it.

Post some foo'... regular country can be as tedious as rap with the cliches. You just have to find the good stuff.
