portable speakers
« on: June 10, 2011, 10:10:19 PM »

Anyone have recommendations for portable speakers? Preferably with a rechargable battery but store bought replaceable batteries would work too as long as they don't eat them like bananas. iPod-only is out of the question and should have antitrust lawsuits brought against them. I'm not looking for your typical crap quality iPod dock, but actually decent speakers.

So far, I'm considering:
Logitech S715i
Klipsch iGroove SXT
Altec Lansing inMotion Air 725
Sony RDP-X50iP

get what pwt ( and now kai....in white... good&evil?) have. its also what retro the turfer uses for the battles he's affiliated with. idk though that might be a lil too big for what ur lookin for.

ive got a lil brand loyalty toward logitech and creative cause ive always had good experience with them and smaller speakers. ive got altec lansing pc speakers right now and not really happy about them. sony is too hit or miss to buy online without actually hearing it in person first. dont have much experience with kllipsch

Eh I'm not looking for a portable PA system that I have to wheel around. I am looking for something more easily transportable by bike.

I do not have much experience with Logitech, Creative, or Sony. I've had Altec Lansing speakers before that were pretty good but they had this obnoxious subwoofer that was always loud and there was no way to adjust the bass. I've also had Klipsch speakers before that were fucking awesome.

Shit, turns out the Klipsch iGroove actually is not portable. Every review says it has awesome sound. :(

http://www.amazon.com/Altec-Lansing-inMotion-IM310-Portable/dp/B001AO1SRE/ref=sr_1_15?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1308019059&sr=1-15

My girlfriend had one of these for the longest time.  Super light and fairly decent sound.  Is small enough to throw in a backpack and go.  Has an 1/8 inch input if you don't have an ipod or iphone.  Would recommend this or another Altec Lansing model.
