I know there's an Electro House discussion somewhere here, but why not make this the Electro discussion topic for all the Electro stuff?

electro has moved in a lot of different directions since its inception (kraftwerk, or so they say). i've been diggin on some current electro vibes (electro inspired fidget and dubstep tracks). i'll post some up later.

i once had a thought that as it evolved it should be called something else, but Stjarna dropped some knowledge on me that i thought was pretty relevant to the topic. it's analogous to just about any other music genre. rock, jazz, pop, etc. rock music of today sounds a lot different than it did back in the 70's, but there was a very clear and distinct evolution that connects the old sound to the new sound--which makes it all "rock." there are subgenres of course, just like their are with electro though, that keep them seperate.
