Lay off the CG guy!

When the trailer was released a week or so ago...the general consensus I got from everyone that saw it was....what the fuck is supposed to be happening in this movie? I had to do a search to see what the damn movie was about just to understand the trailer.

Saw Avatar tonight- possibly the best film I've ever seen, though the awe of in theater Star Wars when it first came out at age 6 comes close. Avatar in 3D IMAX is unbelievable. Better than Terminator 2 and The Matrix. I saw each of those films in the theater 3 times. This will be the first film for which I will see it more than that...

going to see it tonight.  bassnectar tweeted that it was the star wars of our generation.  probably a bit exaggerated, but we'll see.

i thought movies that were purely special effects eye candy had its place with me. nothing wrong with a little mindless entertainment for a couple hours to escape reality. i like lotr, i like lady gaga. i always defended this kind of stuff. but then i watched transformers 2. what a god damn piece of shit. how can something with so much going on visually have such shit visual style? chock full of horrible cliches and cheese that i always thought i could ignore, it reminded me why i try and distance myself from 'normals.' and so i will never watch avatar.

'you are not in kansas anymore' wtf. the dialogue in the movie is so piss fucking poor that this is the shit highlight that makes the trailer? fuck.

i don't know why this makes me so angry.
