watched the fountain last night.  good movie.  I liked it, but kinda feel like I didn't understand the movie as a whole.  The graphics and landscapes were amazing though.  So imaginative.  I really liked that.  The special features were neat as well.  The part were hugh jackman turns into flowers.  The fact that they chose to build that suit to show the effect instead of use computer graphics.  that was pretty creative.  Overall, definatly a movie I'm gunna have to watch again.

yea the movies plot and ending was intentionally left really vague. u might wanna hitup the IMDB boards for the 3-6 possible explamations lol, i forgot which one i ended up going with but it was diff from kai's

if u enjoyed the movie tho check out PI, same director, some simlar vagueness going on but not nearly as much, i liked it better than i did the fountain(even tho pi dosent have any crazy computer graphics)

to me, The Fountain revolved around the concept that love is eternal.  it's shown thru 3 stories--1 past, 1 present, 1 future.  the present is the key to understanding the movie because it involves the story that the wife is writing.  that story is "the fountain" in which the two lovers are represented in both past and future.  the key to jackman finding the tree of eternal life in the past is so that he and his queen could stay together, the key to jackman finding a cure in present is so he and his wife could stay together, and the the key to jackman traveling to shebulba (sp?) at the end is so that he and his wife can become the two intertwined nebulas and give birth to new galaxies (and live eternally thru them).

the whole movie is a metaphor for man's struggle to live eternally thru love.  i dig the hell out of it. ^.^

I watched Blackalicious 4/20 Live last night.  Was kinda meh.  A handful of their live performances with lateef, pidgeon john, and some other folks, mixed interview parts with Gift and Chief.
