Is there a size limit for avatars?

Dimensions not necessarily file size. I am having trouble uploading mine.

i think it\'s 250x250 with a max filesize of 2MB.  i cant mess it with cuz the forums are thin as it is and if an avatar pushes the forums anymore to the right it\'s gonna look extra ridiculous.
