lol richard if you knew what this place looked like you wouldnt be caught dead in it.  from my understanding of going there last year, it's a MAD RUN DOWN HOTEL that hosts a 3 room goth club in the basement, turned into this annual rave every demf.  one of the rooms is the bar/social area, one is a completely black room, and the other is like a ballroom (checker tiled floors, cathedral ceilings, huge light fixtures) with horrrrrible sound.

it's always (imo) the best lineup of DEMF afterparties, unfortunate for some because it's grimey as fuck.


oh, and there was the DOPEST goth representation of alice in wonderland painted on the walls of the lobby area for the women's bathroom.  told the whole story from start to finish using 4 walls.

hahahaha.. yeah ive heard the stories about city club. and the ... uhh shit i think its he Leland hotel?? something like that, gets like a 2 star rating and is one of the worst hotels in Detroit. This is the after party i want to go to however no one else has expressed interest and i wont go alone so until i have a person to go w/ and definite plans im not holding my breath

i've stayed at the leland last 2 years, not many complaints here....but i dont really care for staying in nice hotels when i'm raving all weekend long, something just doesn't add up there ;)

if i do end up going to detroit this year i'm not stayin there tho just cause my friends picked a diff hotel, and i dont think i'm down for this party again, it wasnt 25 dollars worth really and they havent added anyone besides jimmy edgar that i'd wanna see

if demf is raving, you're doing it wrong.

if i have todo it wrong and still enjoy the event instead of goto cali...then yea ;)
