Household Management, Embrace, and Masquerade present

DUB THE HALLS vs JUNGLE BELLS vs BREAKSGIVING!!

Household Management is back with three of our most popular annual events. But this year instead of three separate parties we have combined them all together under one roof to make up what will be the most talked about, most jaw dropping, and most ridiculous and exciting dance music experience Atlanta has seen in years!! This will hands down be the largest party of the year!

"DUB THE HALLS" ROOM

MTA Records, http://www.myspace.com/nerouk // United Kingdom
Nero are back in Atlanta for an encore after their stunning performance at our Dubascension 2 show earlier this year, where they completely blew the roof off the venue!! NERO have become a big name in both the Drum & Bass and Dubstep scenes, often fusing both styles of music in their DJ sets. They started with DnB, joining DJ SS's Formation Records in the Summer of 2004. Since then Dan and Joe's tracks have caused quite a stir, gaining huge support from DJs like Andy C, Grooverider, and Friction, as well as radio airplay from Zane Lowe, Jo Whiley, Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Rob Da Bank, Steve Lamacq and Fabio & Grooverider, to name just a few. In June 2006 Nero released their acclaimed EP, "Requiem EP" on Formation Records. The EP featured 4 top tracks, Requiem, Bitch I'm Gone, Autopsy and Bad For the Brain. High Contrast included Bitch I'm Gone in his mix for the legendary Fabric Live series, Fabric Live 25. 2009 saw Nero's first release on iconic label Breakbeat Kaos. The killer track 'Act Like You Know', backed with Sound in Motion and a dubstep edit of the title track, has been hitting dancefloors across the world for the last year and was picked up by Fresh and Adam F. Onto Dubstep, Nero's debut dubstep release, 'This Way feat. Alana', became one of the biggest dubstep tunes of 2008 and is still selling big units across the world. Since then, Nero's consistent releases have made them one of the most talked about acts in Dubstep the world over. Their remix of the Streets' tune 'Blinded by the Lights' was a massive radio hit as well as a dancefloor smasher played by DJ's from Chase and Status and Skream, to Tiesto and Diplo. More recently Nero have remixed La Roux and Deadmau5 to devastating effect. The boy's DJing career has also taken off this year, October saw an intensive gigging schedule which included supporting Deadmau5, Chase & Status and Zane Lowe on their UK tours. Nero have recently signed exclusively to Chase & Status' label MTA and are currently working on their debut album.

VIRUS SYNDICATE LIVE - First Ever Atlanta Performance!!
Planet Mu // Manchester, United Kingdom
Virus Syndicate are Manchester’s premier urban music act that have set the standard for British rapping both lyrcally and in style. Following 2 albums on Planet Mu their reputation as the UK’s leading vocal dubstep, hip hop and grime outfit. The combination of producer MRK1’s inventive beat-making and MC’s JSD, Nika D, and Goldfinger, has attracted support from Liam Howlett, Tim Westwood, Mary Anne Hobbs, and Wiley. With comparisons to Dizzy Rascal, Wiley, and Kano, and praise from Hip Hop Connection to The Telegraph and The Guardian, it's no wonder why Virus are on the lips of everyone in the industry. This past summer saw the release of a trilogy of EPs on Contagious Records (under the Break Out Trilogy title). It included the hit single "Talk To Frank" which has appeared on the game changing "Cashmere Agency Presents Mr. Grustle & Tha Russian’s Dubstep LA: Embrace The Renaissance Vol. 1 mixed by Plastician" mixtape, as well as the hit UK Television series "Skins". Remixes from Scream, Digital Mysticks, and Benga, are all currently in the pipeline and collaborations with Mickey Slim, Starkey, Mowgli, Rossi B and Luca are all out or out soon.

PLASTICIAN
RinseFM, Terrorhythm Recordings, http://www.myspace.com/plastician // London, United Kingdom
Plastician returns to us again! We brought him for our first Dubascension show back in 2009 where he co-headlined with RUSKO and completely stole the show!! Plastician aka Chris Reed started DJ'ing in 1999 after gaining interest in the UK garage scene which was emerging on the pirate radio stations of London. He eventually gained the skills to earn himself a spot on a small pirate station called Desire FM, with a collective known as the Fearless Crew. After a few months of hard graft on Desire, Plastician and the rest of the crew moved onto South London based pirate, 2G FM - where they found a home for a good year before eventually splitting, leaving Chris to find his feet as a lone DJ. It was then that he became more involved in the music industry, getting himself a job at a distribution company called Streetsales - it was here he would gain knowledge of the way the industry worked from the inside, which led to him trying his hand at production - to further his career as a DJ by attracting more attention to his name. Plastician was then known as Plasticman, and he had various releases in 2002 on labels such as Soulja, Road, Slimzos and Contagious. He was fastly becoming a hot property in the newly emerging genre we now label as grime. 2003 was a big year for Chris, he earned himself a DJ set at the established night "FWD", and began to really establish himself as a DJ / Producer within both the dubstep and grime movements. Early in 2003, Terrorhythm Recordings was founded by The Plastician (still known as Plasticman then). It was an outlet for his own productions, with releases by himself and Mark One in the first year. After 6 months of FWD playouts and Terrorhythm releases, Rephlex took note of his production skills and signed him to their label for the release of the groundbreaking "Grime" compilation. He also gained a slot on Rinse FM, a station which boasts the discovery of artists such as Dizzee Rascal, Wiley and Roll Deep. 2004 saw The Plastician tour all over the globe - meaning he was the first UK artist to ever play dubstep or grime in many of the world’s major countries outside of the EU. This is following a good few years of touring and playing across Europe, solidifying his importance to the genres he represents. This trend has continued to this very day, as he remains one of the scene's biggest ambassadors. In 2005 Plasticman officially changed his name to The Plastician to avoid any confusion between him and Richie Hawtin, this name change was synchronised with his move from Rinse FM (London's biggest pirate radio station) to BBC Radio One, where he would host the station's first ever dedicated grime and dubstep show in the beginning of 2006. After spending 18 months at the BBC, Plastician moved back onto pirate radio station Rinse FM in 2007, beginning a show in his new Monday night slot with co-host and long time friend MC Nomad. The show rapidly became one of Rinse FM’s most listened to shows and has become staple listening for dubstep fans ever since the switch. 2008 saw the much delayed but highly anticipated release of Plastician’s debut album “Beg To Differ” on his own Terrorhythm imprint. Releases from Joker shortly followed on the label – another artist who has gone from strength to strength since his first releases. To this day Joker is still working closely with Terrorhythm where he is managed in house by co-owner Charles Holgate. With the much increased popularity of Dubstep in the UK market alone, Plastician has been extremely busy playing gigs all over the world in 2008 and 2009, with barely any time to work on music production his sets have become more galvanised and have been described by some publications as “surgically precise”. It is not unusual for Plastician to get through records at ridiculous pace, which is something he works on all of the time.

ZEDS DEAD - First Ever Atlanta Performance!
UKF Dubstep // Ontario, Canada
Their name was derived from a scene in Tarantino's Pulp Fiction where Bruce Willis' character tells his girlfriend that the stolen bike they were going to ride belongs to Zed who he had killed earlier. "Zeds dead baby". The audio sample is featured in the beginning of their first smash tune, "Journey Of A Lifetime". It was prophesized long, long ago, that some time during the early part of the new millennium, a day will come when a sound will thunder down from the heavens and rain upon the world...a sound so powerful it will shake the ground beneath it. With hypnotic rhythms and soul shattering melodies, this sound will bring unity to the disputing genres and draw crowds from all walks of life, crushing anyone who isn’t ready. Some say that this is just a story, a hope, a dream held close by those who have become disillusioned with music today. Others have said that the ancient prophesy is nothing more that a fairytale... Then again...there are some who believe that this sound has already arrived. The earliest reports surfaced in the summer of 2009: rumors of a sound so sick and strong that it could pierce a person’s very soul. It was said that the sound was unstoppable, and soon, it would resonate throughout every corner of the globe, and infect everyone, everywhere. It seemed the prophesy had come true...but contrary to what it had foretold, the sound did not come from the heavens above, but instead...from deep down below – from the underground. Rising up out of the darkest basements came Zeds Dead, the brainchild of two mad scientists: Hooks and D.C. After years of toiling in their underground lair, digging through crates and honing their craft, the time finally came to unleash their monster upon the world, and on one fateful summer night, that’s just what they did. During the most fierce storm of 2009, the two scientists hooked up the electrodes, turned the power up to 11, and watched in amazement as Zeds Dead became…ALIVE!". With ridiculous YouTube views totaling above the 4million mark combined, on their stellar remixes on everyone from Blue Foundation ("Eyes On Fire"), Massive Attack ("Paradise Circus"), The Rolling Stones ("Gimme Shelter"), and Radiohead's ("Pyramid Song") just to name a few, it's no doubt why everyone is going nuts over ZEDS DEAD!!

Dub Police, Argon Records, Household Management, http://www.myspace.com/mattygbeatz
Santa Cruz, California

Matthew Gonsalves better known as Matty G, is without doubt the pioneer of the hip hop influenced sub-genre that ever so present in today's flourishing dubstep scene. Since his first release in 2006 on US based imprint 'Argon', he has gone from strength to strength building on his sample based 90's hip hop sound and having scene defying tracks along the way all from his studio in Santa Cruz, USA. In 2007 came the massive '50,000 Watts' which set the bar for the sub-low 808 sound that many have tried to imitate since and remains a true anthem within the scene to this day. It gained support from the who's who of dubstep royalty including Caspa & Rusko (featuring on their legendary FabricLive compilation), Skream, Digital Mystikz, N-Type & Joe Nice to name a few and also received the remix treatment from dubstep pioneer Loefah, all going towards firmly cementing the track, and Matty G in the history of the sound. Later that year Matty came with another anthem in the shape of 'West Coast Rocks' which again raised the bar and received a remix from Dub Police head honcho Caspa, who also that year put out Matty's debut release for the Dub Police label on the 2nd installment of the License To Thrill series sharing wax with Rusko and Dubwoofa. In 2008 Matty released his debut album on Argon entitled 'Take You Back', which received rave reviews from all corners of the dubstep scene as well as bridging the gap even more so between dubstep and hip hop. Featuring vocals performances from the likes of Juakali and Audio Angel, the LP again solidified Matty's place among the dubstep ranks. As well as proving to be a renowned producer, Matty showed the masses he is as talented behind the decks, touring far and wide playing at such prestigious nights as; DMZ at The Mass in Brixton, Dub Police at Fabric in London and the world famous Glastonbury Festival (the largest music and performing arts festival in the world). Fast forward to 2010 and having just completed a tour of US for Scion AV along with Caspa, The Others, D1 and Rod Azlan, Matty is back in the studio on the best form of his life with numerous tracks doing the rounds and massive releases lined up including a single for Dub Police as well as remixes for Caspa and label mate Subscape. You are very likely to be seeing more of this man in the near future, 2011 is shaping up to be the year when this musical stalwart really shines through.

ADAM F
Breakbeat Kaos Recordings, http://www.adamf.com, Kiss FM // United Kingdom
Over the course of the last 15 years Adam Fenton has become one the most well respected and sought after musical talents to have emerged from the UK music scene. As a world-famous producer, international DJ, vocalist, record label and publishing company owner and even as an actor Adam has built one of the most thriving careers in the game that most can only dream of. As a teenager Adam was always a big fan of hip-hop and electronica but it wasn’t until the mid 90’s when the self-taught musician was caught by the jungle/drum & bass bug and this career took off. He began producing as Adam F gaining instant recognition with classic tracks such as ‘Metropolis’ (Metalheadz), ‘FJam’ (F-Jams), ‘Brand New Funk’ (V) and of course ‘Circles’ (Section 5) which would go on to gain Top 20 status and after being signed by Positiva his debut album ‘Colours’ earned him a MOBO (Music of Black Origin) award for best album in 1997. Adam’s DJing schedule rocketed playing all over the globe, at top nightclubs and major music festivals…he was even given his own radio show on London’s Kiss 100 as drum & bass took a hold of music fans worldwide. But all this wasn’t enough for Adam F who had other musical ambitions to achieve. So a trip to the USA around the year 2000 and some major networking skills then enabled Adam to bring about the next big project; ‘Kaos: The Anti-Acoustic Warfare’ album was released on EMI in 2001. Featuring greats such as Redman, LL Cool J, Guru, Noreaga, MOP, Beenie Man and the UK’s De La Soul, Adam was able to return to his previous love of hip hop and showed the world that dance music producers didn’t have to necessarily stick to one genre. In turn the NME gave him the accolade of No.1 UK Hip Hop Producer and placed him in their Top 5 World Producers list. In particular the collaboration with Redman would gain him a top 5 UK single and video with ‘Smash Sumthin’ and a relationship that Adam would later return to. His increased profile gave him even more industry clout as he worked with artists such as David Bowie, Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliott and even the Pet Shop Boys. He also went on to compose the music for the box office hit ‘Ali G In Da House’ and a full orchestral score for the WWF/WCW Champion Wrestling leagues. In 2003 though he returned to the jungle and co-founded the Breakbeat Kaos label with DJ Fresh. Since its inception Breakbeat Kaos has gone on to become arguably the most successful drum and bass label in the world. Being the first to recognize the talents of Pendulum they signed them and released their debut album ‘Hold Your Colour’ which has since sold in excess of 350,000 copies worldwide. With the tightest A&Ring skills BBK has consistently delivered some of the best drum & bass and dubstep in recent years from the likes of Chase & Status, Brookes Brothers, Nero, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, Baron, Distorted Minds, Pendulum and of course Adam & Fresh themselves. On to the present and not being one to rest on his laurels Adam has recently hooked up again with longtime friend and artist Andy Horx who signed the Prodigy to XL at the start of their career and who also signed Adam to Positiva back in the 90’s. Having met up again at the Ultra Music Festival in America after many years apart they decided to get back into the studio together and see what happened. The first fruits of their labour is a housed up, electro-edged monster remix of the Prodigy’s ‘Take Me To The Hospital’ from their recent album and is already gaining serious radio props from the likes of Annie Mac, Zane Lowe and those others lucky enough to have it. The success of this has spurred them on and there are sure to be many more Adam F & Horx collaborations in the future. Also watch out for the return of Redman who Adam flew out to see in Amsterdam the weekend after Michael Jackson died. On catching Red walking down the street playing MJ’s ‘The Way You Make Me Feel’ from his laptop speakers they managed to get in the studio and lay down the foundations of what promises to be another awesome Adam F achievement. Adam F came back again this year with guns blazing as he again teamed up with his long time friend and business partner to start the project called "WTF!?". Their first project out of the box being a track in which they collaborated with none other than DEAD PREZ on called "It's Bigger Than Hip-Hop". What started out as just a simple V.I.P dubplate, then became an official release on Breakbeat Kaos Records, has since then has become one of the biggest Dubstep Smashers in history. Zane Lowe went as far as to call it "a cornerstone in the Dubstep Movement" and deemed it the "hottest record in the world". Come find out for yourself why Adam is rated by NME as the #8 producer in the world, of any genre, and why he officially has the game on lock!

J. Rabbit has earned his way into the ranks of the Drum and Bass scene since his start in 2001. He has always been drawn to music, playing bass, guitar and piano throughout his childhood and high school years. With his musical background behind him and a new era of electronic music forming, he decided to move to New York City in 2005 which warmly welcomed his bass-pumping style. Shortly after moving to New York from California, J. Rabbit, or Jeff came into contact with such individuals as Jen Mas and DJ Psynikill, and after much hard work and dedication he was offered a spot in the NYC veteran crew Vitus Productions.  He also started his own crew, Beats Anonymous Productions, with local DnB artist Funktipuss Jones. Their crew hosted a free Drum and Bass weekly in the heart of NYC, Times Square, from late ’06 to early ’07.  Jeff has also been receiving support from other big names in the scene – DJ Dara, Terravita, Odi, DJ DB, and more. DJ WEDNESDAY
Wednesday Afternoon Recording, F-Troop, Konkrete Jungle AZ, HipStepMassive // Phoenix, Arizona
DJ Wednesday’s DJing career began in New Jersey in 1985. Originally a hip hop DJ, Wednesday started playing house and garage music in 1988. He was heavily influenced by the DJs who spun at his favorite club the Zanzibar in Newark, New Jersey where DJs like Tony Humphries and DJ Disciple were puttin it down. When the 90s hit, the New York Scene was in full effect. That was when Wednesday was exposed to the New York Rave Scene. The parties that were running at the time were NASA, The Limelight, The Shelter, etc…By 1993, the scene was starting to peak and the rave scene was starting to divide into different styles of rave and dance. Once the sound of breakbeat hit, Wednesday knew that the music was for him. The breakbeat sound split in the mid 90s into Hardcore, Happy Hardcore and Jungle. Wednesday being a B-Boy from day one levitated to the sound of jungle. In 1994, Wednesday relocated from New Jersey to Phoenix. Once he arrived in Phoenix, he linked up with Russell Ramirez, owner of Swell Records, and Bombshelter DJs Z-Trip, Emile and Radar. They went on to play one of the biggest raves Arizona had ever seen, a New Year’s rave called Beyond, where Wednesday was the only DJ on the bill playing Jungle. In 1996, Wednesday moved to West Palm Beach, FL where he linked up with the Soul Providers crew. The Soul Providers were the only crew in South Florida who were organized and moved as a unit. Founded by LP., Leo Purvis, the Soul Providers were a collective of DJs, Dancers, Graffiti Artists, Producers and MCs. They were the perfect foundation for Wednesday and he fit in perfectly. After a year of playing all the major parties in South Florida, Wednesday landed a residency at the Loft. The Loft was a club overlooking the ocean in West Palm Beach where they spun funky breaks in the main room. Out on the back patio is where Wednesday began his following. Being the only Jungle DJ that had a residency in West Palm Beach, he was able to highlight his skills in the land of funky breaks and electro. One night while Wednesday was laying down an inspired Jungle set, Scott Weiser of Dynamix II / Jackal and Hyde introduced himself. Soon after that, he and Scott were in the studio working on Wednesday’s first 12 inch release, the Cheeba Cheeba E.P. With his new release ready to roll, Wednesday once again relocated and wound up in Atlanta, Georgia. This is where Wednesday set up shop and ran his record label, Wednesday Afternoon Recordings (W.A.R.). By 1998, Wednesday’s name was household in the Southeast. He played a big part in helping to develop the Jungle / Drum n Bass scene in Atlanta. At the time, Wednesday was the only Jungle DJ in Atlanta that was performing with an MC. That MC was the Imperial MC LP, the founder of Soul Providers crew in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Once LP relocated to Atlanta, Wednesday and LP ran the Atlanta underground Jungle scene. If there was an underground DnB party running, Wednesday and LP were rinsin it out. With the next release off the W.A.R. label, Wednesday and LP went on tour. Everywhere from LA to Detroit, Wednesday and LP spread the positive vibration of the jungle. After Wednesday came off tour back to Atlanta he knew what he had to do. Wednesday got in contact with a couple key people in the scene and his brain child was born, Konkrete Jungle Atlanta. Wednesday’s long time friend, MJ, Michael Jackson made Konkrete Jungle the biggest jungle party Atlanta had ever seen at the time. Shortly after that, 9/11 hit and really changed the scene. There were not as many parties running and people were not going out as much. It was not long after that when Wednesday returned to Phoenix where he currently resides and runs his label. For the last nine years, Wednesday has ran Konkrete Jungle Arizona and also finds time to gig in between recording and his W.A.R. label. With his right hand partner DJ Bass doing much of the engineering on Wednesday’s tracks, the majority of all production is done in house. Wednesday is also co-owner of HipStep Massive, LLC, a record label, talent agency, etc… ran with his brother from another mother, the one and only TC Islam, AKA TC Iz. Be on the lookout for Wednesday’s latest project due to drop late this year. You can catch DJ Wednesday on GenXGlow.com Radio, Tuesdays at 12 am EST. Also tune into HOTTALKLA.com, The HipStep Lounge Show. Artists that Wednesday has produced with include: MC Navigator, Erb N Dub, Jackal N Hyde, Dynamix II, Soul Slinger, TC Islam, Huda Hudia, Jim Johnson, Liquid, Stranger, MC LP, DJ Bass, and DJ Fixx.
