anybody else get really tight muscles around the spine from liquid?

i've done a little bit of liquid in the last week or so and the ol spinal hypertension is annoying. but at least i didnt strain anything.

03 Activating & Training Transversus Abdominis Muscle

Essentially, alot of peoples back muscles end up doing more work then its supposed to because of inactive core muscles.
Before dancing, do exercises that target and activate the muscle groups that are less active. This exercise targets inner core muscles and will alleviate some of the load off your back and spine.

There are other things like having someone walk on your back (carefully) or a deep pressure muscle activation of your back muscles that will also greatly increase your backs ability to sustain your body weight with ease.

Also, one important thing to note when doing the exercise linked above, is that, at the end of it, your lower back muscles will be very relaxed, so much so, that a sudden jerky movement coming out of it may actually strain your back, u need to tighten your abs and core muscles and get up slowly, after maybe 30 seconds or so u can release the tension in your core and your back muscles re activate to a normal state.

... one thing that might help is actually seeing a chiropractor.  I was getting injured at work when I was attacked multiple times by some of my students (I work with emotional/behavioral disorder students) so after seeing a physical therapist I decided to supplement with a chiropractor.  I found out that a lot of my spine had subluxations (small dislocations) and that really added to the stress on my back.  Apparently most people have these subluxations due to posture and every day activity, so it actually helps to see a chiropractor even if there's nothing 'wrong' with you.  He also discovered that one of my legs was actually a few millimeters shorter than the other and gave me a thin pad for my right shoe so that pressure on my spine would equal out better when I was walking around and stuff- surprisingly effective :)

... and yea, being able to work your core muscles as well as stretching will really help with that tension.  It's kinda random, but something that really helped me with my dance and core without me realizing it was something I did regularly- me and a crew of 6 guys set up and break down about 450 or so chairs a week for my church (because we don't have a building and our church size is roughly ~1000) and after about 9 years of it I found my core to actually be really strengthened without me knowing and I was able to do a lot more 'athletic' movements with my dance (as well as on the basketball court, which I also tend to play regularly).
