Liquid Concept - Lever

Not sure what to call it yet (was thinking about a "truck" which is the wheel/lever combination that trains use--both scott and nereida said it looked like this right off the bat).

It's essentially a combination 3 simple mechanics: a swing for initial momentum, a latch for connectivity/relationship, and a pivot for continuing/repeating motion.  These 3 mechanics can also be looked at in the same way the 1st class lever is built, like so:

And with the "latch" on it:

Lemme know what you think, i have a handful of variations too, perhaps people could put their own up.

:O That is cool! I recognize it from your dancing. I must experiment with it.

What about "wheel crank" for a name?

Wow nice:)
Thanx for sharing.
It doesn't look liquidy but I think it would look really nice with build or fixpoint stuffs.
I will try to work on this as well.

Have you ever played a game for the NES called Bionic Commando? The guy you play as has a bionic "grappling" arm. This concept reminds me of that because you would grapple on to an object, swing from that point, let go, then grapple to and swing from another. So i was thinking you could call it the "grapple" or "grappling" concept. Though this translates well in my head i'm not sure the word grapple is a true enough description of what your doing. Anyways... just a thought.

i think the same as well.  over the years i'm being told more and more that my dancing doesnt look like liquid.  traditional liquid? i dont think so either.  but to me liquid is all about building an illusion using relationships with appendages and i think i do that.  this concept is yet another peice to my non-traditional liquid style.  i'm not exactly sure that in the state i present it in it will be useful for others, but i hope someone can, using the core concept, twist it in a way that suits their style.

see kai.. You're wrong. Its Kai Style, not liquid.  cool concept, and I can see future improvement on it. It reminds me of a pendulum.

named: lever.

man im loving the idea of modular concepts broken down into simple mechanics.  definitely have a continuing hard-on for open source dance.
