a professional level liquid instructional
« on: August 08, 2011, 08:55:51 PM »

 Hey gang,
I thought that liquid could use an official update. And I thought it would be great if it was of a professional standard, ala the LPC Instructional Vid from way back. So I thought I might make one, and if I have enough money get Rush to fly down and help me.
Maybe Kai can send me a piece of footage with a Lever tutorial or something.

There have been numerous instructionals released on the net, but the standard of presentation has never been as high as the LPC vid.

I would go to a creative media team and film it in a studio, and it would have a commercial edge to it, as I figure this will make it more accessible.
Also in terms of the music, I was thinking of using quality songs but also a few pop songs like Beautiful People etc. to make it more accessible to the next generation.
I want to make liquid accessible, NOT over the top plastic fantastic whatever... just a bit more extroverted than a dark cave with even darker beats. You know what I mean?

I'd release it online and have a stock of DVD's that are cheap.

Its just talk at the moment, but its something i'd like to do.

What do you think?

funny you mention it, i didnt wanna speak too early, but myself, tmy, distortion and pwt are working on this.

i have a completed outline of what the video will entail and i just finished the equipment purchases (lighting, greenscreen, camera stuff, etc) yesterday.

not to dissuade you from doing your own, just throwin it out there that if you feel like you're doing it because it needs to be done (and it does), you dont have to sweat it.

the race is on! haha just kidding.

wow that's cool Kai. Kudos. I wonder if having more than one of these 'updates' available would be a help or a hindrance ??

Hmm ok well that definitely puts a new perspective on the whole endeavor knowing that you guys are already doing it.

A help ......... if you both have the same goal of making the knowledge more accessible and presented in a high quality format then both of you will achieve your goal twofold by making separate DVD's ... ... I'll buy both as would most others.... the only competition is in execution ...  .... I highly encourage you to go through with it SiFi ...... especially considering your background in dance education ...... and since ya'll don't really dance the same ...... ya'll won't be putting out the same thing.
