Hey guys long time no see, it's been a while. I took a much needed break from the community and because of recent job woes (stress) it's pushed me back towards dancing. (yay!) Long story short I've been looking for a new job and I'm considering moving to Chicago (ick). Yes I said it, I really don't like chicago at all. But if I want to take my dance to the next level or level faster than previously, I know it's a necessary step. I really know nothing about living in Chicago, what are the good suburbs to live an work in? Where is everyone else living? Thanks, Zero Maybe I should put a disclaimer on this. I'm looking to move, but it's not a promise. Because of family pressures, it may not be possible.

Glad to hear it. :) Everyone is scattered all around the city and burbs: Hammond, Indiana; Oak Park, Naperville, Woodridge, Arlington Heights, Lakeview, Avondale, University Village. So if you choose to move, I think you should base your decision more on other factors. Do you have a car? Life in the suburbs is pretty much impossible without a car. On the other hand, if you live in the city, especially close to an El (train) stop, a car is pretty much a useless expense and a pain in the ass to park. Where will you work? How long are you willing to commute? How much free time will you have during the week? At least some of us usually meet up at some party or musical event every weekend, but if you want to meet up with people more frequently, it would help to live closer. Scotty (DIST0RTI0N) lives in Avondale and Plain White Tom in Lakeview and they both like to teach people.

Hey Kai, whatever happened to the member map?

Well plans feel through... I had applied for a job before making this post and went through the interview process and ended up being offered the job. Which is nice, but still sad. Good news though, I'll still be in madsion which is still a stones throw away from Chi-town and I get 2 weeks paid vacation!! Woot woot. I can actually travel now.
