Clip of the week time! A bit early this week because I’ll be out of state for the next few days and won’t have internet access to post.
This week, new member ronopotamus posted about an annual gathering of performance artists who focus on object manipulation called Motion Festival. I was intrigued by the festival and decided to take a look over at their website. I came to find this amazing clip (amongst others) of a recap from 2008′s events and was truly inspired by a lot of the motion in it.
Remember that we are not just Liquid Dancers here on F.N, we’re part of a larger group of arts known as the Performance Arts. As such, we can learn amazing things from other performance arts like contact juggling, poi, mime and many others. Give this video a look, it’s well worth it. I’ll definitely be keeping this festival in mind come next year.
